Promotion Dates

The promotion commences Thursday 12th August 2004 and entries close on Monday 31st January 2005.

Prize Details

The Major Prizes (drawn monthly) are the loan of one Audi A3 for a weekend and one night's accommodation in any city of Australia to the combined value of $1,500. Total prize value of $18,000

1000 x Instant Win prizes of either a Quidam or Audi mobile phone wallpapers (four varieties) or a Quidam polyphonic ringtone will be randomly generated and be available for download by supported handsets. The value of each mobile asset will not exceed a retail value of $4.50 (inc. GST) and the total prize pool will not exceed $3,260.

Total value of all prizes is $21,260.

How to Enter

  1. To enter, individuals must SMS their Full Name and Postcode to 188 1154.
  2. The cost of entry into the competition is 55 cents (including GST)
  3. Entrants can enter the competition as many times as they like.
  4. Instant Win prizes will only be allocated to the first 5000 entries, equating in entrants having a one in five chance of winning.
  5. There is no limit on the amount of entries into the Major Prize draw.
  6. The minimum requirement for entry is the individual's Full Name and Postcode.
  7. Employees and their immediate families of the Promoter and its agencies associated with this promotion are ineligible to enter.
  8. Prizes are not redeemable for cash.
  9. Instant Win prize total value consists of 200 polyphonic ringtones at $4.50 plus 800 wallpapers at $2.95 (including GST).
  10. Major Prize is available to entrants in all states of Australia.
  11. Major Prize consists of one Audi A3 for the duration of a weekend. Vehicle delivery/pickup will be coordinated on an individual case basis pending the availability of dealer opening times. At a bare minimum, the Audi A3 will be available for pickup from a Saturday morning and would need to be returned by the following Monday morning to the winner's closest Audi dealership. The accommodation provided is for two people to share, for one night only, does not include meals, does not include spending money and is subject to availability.
  12. Major Prize does not include transfer to the city where the vehicle and accommodation is located.
  13. Instant Prize winners will be sent an SMS text message informing them of their prize within 24 hours of their competition entry. Winners will have a single opportunity to download their prize asset and is only available to the mobile phone number the competition entry was submitted from.
  14. Instant Prize winners of mobile phone assets will require winners to have a GPRS and MMS enabled phone (usually represented by phones with built in cameras and a colour screen) and be connected to Telstra, Optus, Vodafone or Virgin. Telstra Pre-paid, the "3" network and Orange networks are not supported. Older monochrome mobiles are not supported. If you encounter any problems accessing Instant Win prizes, please consult the Mobile Assets FAQ's or contact your mobile service provider for technical support.
  15. The Major Prize Draw will randomly select a winner from the total pool of entrants.
  16. The Major Prize Winners will be selected by a computerised random draw at MassMedia Studios 91 Reservoir Street, Surry Hills NSW 2010, on the following dates at 10am (AEST):

    • Draw 02   30 September 2004
    • Draw 03   28 October 2004
    • Draw 04   25 November 2004
    • Draw 05   23 December 2004
    • Draw 06   27 January 2005
    • Draws 07-12   31 January 2005
  17. The winners will be notified within 7 days of the draw dates (as per clause 16) via mobile phone. All entrants are deemed to have consented to any personal information relating to them being held by Audi Australia Pty Ltd for the purposes of this promotion.
  18. All winners names will be published on the Audi Quidam website at www.audi.com.au/quidam/ winners_weekend.shtml and in The Weekend Australian newspaper on the following dates:
    • Draw 01   04 September 2004
    • Draw 02   09 October 2004
    • Draw 03   06 November 2004
    • Draw 04   04 December 2004
    • Draw 05   01 January 2005
    • Draw 06   05 February 2005
    • Draw 07-12   05 March 2005
  19. Entrants details will not be used by Audi Australia for further marketing opportunities unless they have granted permission during the registration process.
  20. All prizes must be claimed within 4 months from the date of winning. After that time, unclaimed prizes will be dealt with according to legislative requirements. Any remaining prizes will be re-drawn on Thursday 15th December 2005. Audi Australia will not notify winners of time remaining. It is the sole responsibility of winners to collect their prize.
  21. In the event that a winner chooses not to accept a prize, they forfeit any and all claims to that prize, which will be dealt with according to the absolute discretion of Audi Australia subject to legislative requirements.
  22. If a specified prize becomes unavailable, Audi Australia may, subject to State regulation, substitute a replacement prize at its absolute discretion.
  23. All entries by internet are sent entirely at the risk of the entrant. If there are any difficulties arising out of the internet or any associated equipment Audi Australia may at its absolute discretion disqualify the entire entry or any portion thereof.
  24. Winners are responsible for any and all taxes payable as a result of a prize being awarded or received.
  25. The promoter and their associated agencies and companies shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever (including but not limited to direct or consequential loss) or personal injury suffered or sustained by the prizes or in connection with any other prizes.
